Wholeness Remnants Fragments

Reflecting the changing narratives and landscapes of repair, this exhibition combines parts of the Crafts Study Centre’s collection with objects and texts made and collated by Maiko Tsutsumi and Bridget Harvey. The gallery will become a space for continuing their conversation around repair that they begun with the curation of the 2015 exhibition, The Department Of Repair, extending contemporary repair thinking to their research, studio and curatorial practice. The exhibition considers how damage and repair can shine light to new perspectives and possibilities, and will include a project to repair a broken Lucie Rie bowl in the Crafts Study Centre’s collections.
