Polished Ceramics

West Street Potters benefited from a rich seam of creativity that arrived with Siddig El Nigoumi on his return from Sudan in the 1960’s . He is remembered with affection for his rigorous teaching and contribution to the glazing palette- Nigoumi Hard – words that mystify current members. Hopefully this exhibition will reignite interest in Nigoumi’s influence and interest visitors in a significant part of WSP history.
