Fiona Byrne is an Irish artist, educator and writer. Join Fiona to learn about her work with traditional craft techniques in glass and her journey as a contemporary glass artist.
During her one-month residency, she will divide her time between a studio at the Farnham Maltings and the glass studios at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). As a permanent record of her residency, Fiona has been commissioned to make a piece of art which reflects the craft ethos of Farnham.
Farnham’s artist in residence initiative has been funded by Farnham South Street Trust and is part of a five-year commitment to host residencies for makers from other World Craft towns and cities. Farnham was designated as England’s first World Craft Town in 2020.
Tickets available from the venue with all proceeds to Oxfam.
